Integrative, Individualized Massage Therapy Sessions

Picture
As a massage therapist, I am detail oriented, looking for the root of your pain. I will offer personalized stretches for you to practice at home in order to change the pain-causing pattern and help you feel better in between sessions and continue the process of healing.

Picture
I offer a truly integrative massage - blending techniques such as : lymphatic drainage therapy, swedish, deep tissue, neuromuscular therapy (trigger point), craniosacral, myofascial release, shiatsu, and thai yoga massage.
Essentially, a massage is a negotiation between my hands and your nervous system. It is my goal to help you find a state of relaxation where chronically contracted muscles can finally let go.
Your massage is all about you so I make sure to find out what your body needs before planning out the session. It is my hope that you leave the session feeling significantly more relaxed, rejuvenated, and with less pain.

Lymphatic Drainage Therapy

Picture
  • - Lymphatic massage uses very light touch to move the body's lymph fluid, supporting efficient detoxification
  • - It is an extremely relaxing modality, moving the body into parasympathetic mode quickly and deeply
  • - Lymphatic drainage can boost the immune system, support detoxification, and reduce pain and swelling
  • - It is useful for lymphedema, lymes disease, fibromyalgia, fatigue, insomnia, stress, arthritis, and migraines as well as general immune boosting.
- Lymphatic massage is contraindicated for infections, broken bones, cancer, pregnancy & breastfeeding.

Additional Services

Reiki & Sound Healing
Reiki or Sound Healing are amazing additions to a massage for deeper relaxation and integration. Can be included as part of your massage time at no extra cost, or as an add on at the same rates as massage*.
Find more information here.

*Sound healing session must be requested in advance

Body Buffing

At no additional cost, I am happy to use a mechanical buffer as part of the massage warm up - this tool allows me to loosen muscles and prepare them for deeper work in significantly less time, and can be very relaxing!

Dry Exfoliation

At no additional cost, I am happy to use dry exfoliation gloves to remove dead skin and improve circulation. This must be done at the beginning of the massage before oil is used.

Hot stones

$10 add on
In the winter months, I offer hot stones as a compliment to massage therapy sessions, to loosen and warm tense muscles and bring the body into further relaxation.
Cupping

$10 add on

Picture
Cupping is the application of negative pressure, or suction, to the body. Suction cups rapidly facilitate rigid soft tissue release, loosens & lifts connective tissue, breaks up and drains stagnation while increasing blood & lymph flow to skin & muscles in ways not possible using compression.
I offer cupping as a compliment to your integrative massage. The cups do work on one body part while I work another, so you get double duty!
I currently use soft silicone cups, which do not tend to leave as dark or long lasting marks as hard plastic or glass cups. Most of these marks were gone by the end of the session.
Location
My office is conveniently located on the outskirts of downtown Asheville

Pricing
- 60 minute integrative massage: $100
- 75 minute integrative massage: $125
